This season Todd & Duncan have developed a collection of six new sustainable Cashmere Naturals colours, made from an edited selection of three undyed cashmere fibre types, directly sourced from Ningxia Province and Inner Mongolia. The six colours are hand-sorted and meticulously blended together to create a balanced mixture of natural undyed tones, each with their own unique colour traits.
Production of the six Cashmere Naturals through Todd & Duncan's mill is a more environmentally aware production method, with no dyestuffs used and only the essential processes applied: washing, blending, carding and spinning. This modified manufacturing process allows the undyed cashmere yarn to retain all its characteristics and natural properties: purity of colour; soft natural handle, breathability, durability, and it is biodegradable.
Throughout, all the water used is I 00% recycled through the mill's effluent plant and released back into Loch Leven, the 3,300 acre natural freshwater loch, where Todd & Duncan is located. All washing and spinning lubricants applied to the fibre and yarn are GOTS (Global Organic Textiles Standard) approved.
